Interior design is very popular right now. Your girls will love to groom their room with super cool projects and experiment with design and style. We've made these projects especially appealing to preteens.

You won't believe all the materials you get for this price. If you are a Junior Girl Scout leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Art in the Home Junior Badge here is our suggestion. You'll see we've taken some liberties with the requirements to make it more fun and age appropriate. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the badge book.

Requirement 1 - Art in Style
Make a frame for your room. Use it to display a picture of your dream room. Included are craft sticks, feather boa, star and round sequins. You'll also need paint, brush and glue. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete plus drying time.

Requirement 2 - Measure Up
Cut out the printed furniture pieces. Arrange them in the two different size room grids provided. Measure up your own room and draw it out on a third grid and try rearranging your furniture in new ways. Project will take about 25 minutes to complete.

Requirement 3 - Create a Dream Room
Experiment with the included color and fabric samples to see which ones you like best together. Mount your favorite combinations on a show card -- just like a decorator. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete.

Requirement 4 - Make a Container
We're skipping the gourd idea and making a container from craft sticks. Your girls can use it to hold hair accessories, paper clips or change. Also included are sequins and stars. You'll also need paint, brush and glue. Project will take about 30 minutes to complete plus drying time.

Requirement 5 - Say it with Flowers
Make a centerpiece for your desk. Turn pens into blooms and make a "vase" pencil holder to hold them. Included are feather boas, star and round sequins, and cups.  Project will take about 25 minutes to complete.

Requirement 10 - Accent on Beauty
Make a desk tent your girls can customize with their own message. Included are die cut tent, sequins, and stars. You'll also need glue and marker. Project will take about 10 minutes to complete.
