Twelve girls can earn their Art-to-Wear Badge in a Bag.

LESS THAN 60¢ PER PROJECT

Teens and preteens love to wear safety pins! This "bag" will be one of their favorites. Includes all supplies and easy to follow instructions. All you'll need is scissors, glue, markers and two items of clothing to decorate such as kerchiefs, bandanas or tee shirts. You may also want needle nose pliers.

Available with a "Bag of Extras" for leaders who like to make samples, have extra supplies on hand or to stretch your kit for up to three additional girls.

If you are a Junior Girl Scout leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Art-to-Wear Junior Badge here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the badge book.

Requirement 1 - Fashion Friendship
Make a pin to SWAP. Kit includes instructions and supplies: coiless pin, safety pins, e-beads and 4mm metallic beads. Project will take about 25 minutes to complete. Check out our free online SWAP program.

Requirement 4 - Alter an Item of Clothing
Customize a tee shirt with safety pins. Kit includes instructions and supplies: coiless pins, e-beads and 4mm metallic beads. You'll also need a tee shirt or pair of jeans. Project will take about 35 minutes to complete.

Requirement 5 - Pattern Maker
Design and make a beaded pin like the butterfly shown. Kit includes instructions and supplies: coiless pins, safety pins, e-beads and pattern blanks. Your also need markers or colored pencils. Project will take about 45 minutes to complete.

Requirement 6 - Make a Fashion Accessory
Make a bracelet from safety pins. Kit includes instructions and supplies: Elastic, safety pins, e-beads and 4mm metallic beads. Project will take about 35 minutes to complete.

Requirement 8 - Make a Doll Fashion Accessory
Make a matching bracelet from safety pins for your 18" doll or bear. Kit includes instructions and supplies: Elastic, safety pins, e-beads and 4mm metallic beads. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete.

Requirement 10 - Decorate Your Wears
Add a safety pin fringe to an item of clothing. Kit includes instructions and supplies: safety pins, e-beads and 4mm metallic beads. You'll also need a kerchief, bandana or other article of clothing. Project will take about 25 minutes to complete.
