LESS THAN 50¢ PER PROJECT

Four fun projects for making music with 12 girls. Available with a "Bag of Extras" for leaders who like to make samples, have extra supplies on hand or to stretch your kit for four additional girls. You can also purchase a decorating kit to make your project bright and colorful.

If you are a Brownie leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Sounds of Music Try-It here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the Try-It book.

Requirement 1 - Make Your Own
Decorate two jumbo craft sticks to back together to make a percussion instrument. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete. Jumbo craft sticks are included. You'll need your own decorating supplies.

Requirement 2 - Toe Jamming
Decorate a card board oval, add some plastic lace, pull tight and twang to the music. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete. Cardboard oval and plastic lace are included. You'll need your own decorating supplies.

Requirement 3 - Make Straw Whistles
Customize straws to make whistles. Project will take about 5 minutes to complete not including the time spent learning to "straw whistle". You'll need scissors. straws are included.

Requirement 4 - Mini Rubber Band Guitar
This will be your troops favorite project of the year. Make a mini guitar and strum to music. Included are the paper mache box, jumbo craft stick, plastic lace and rubber band. You'll need your own decorating supplies including scissors and glue and an adult with a craft knife to make slots for the rubber bands.
