Healthy Fun Badge in a Bag^®
Help your girls to learn healthy habits by taking care of themselves and understanding their feelings.

Get it while you can! This "Bag" is being discontinued to make room for new "Badge in a Bags". The current Healthy Fun of Music Try-It is being retired by GSUSA. Make sure to pick up your Try-Its from the council store while they still have availablity.

LESS THAN 30¢  PER PROJECT                 Kit contains supplies for a maximum of 12 scouts to do four activities. Order a "bag of extras" for troops up to 16. Order 2 full bags for troops of 17 or more.

The perfect kit for our young scouts. Available with a "Bag of Extras" for leaders who like to make samples, have extra supplies on hand or to stretch your kit for four additional kids.

If you are a Brownie leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Healthy Habits Try-It, here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the Try-It book.

Requirement 1 - A Visit to the Doctor
Talk to your troop about visiting the doctor. Explain that a doctor will weigh and measure them, listen to their heart, look in their throat, etc. Make a growth chart so your girls can keep track of their own growth. Kit includes an 11" flower and a ruler printed on card stock. Using your own glue, piece together the ruler to make a 5' stem. Glue to the flower. Allow 10 minutes for this activity.

Requirement 2 - A Beautiful Smile
Talk to your troop about visiting the dentist. Kit includes a six page, 5" x 7" coloring book explaining what will happen at the dentist. You'll need your own crayons. Allow 15 minutes for this activity.

Requirement 3 - Eating Healthy
Talk to your troop about benefits of eating healthy. Kit includes a 5-1/2" happy apple cut out and magnet. Glue the magnet to the back of the apple and write a message on the apple such as "EAT HEALTHY SNACKS". You'll need your own marker and glue. Allow 10 minutes for this activity.

Requirement 6 - Feelings
Talk to your troop about understanding their feelings. Kit includes twelve 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" cards printed with heads and stickers with facial features for your troop to share. Write an emotion on each card and hand them out to your troop. Have the girls create a face with the stickers to represent the emotion. Allow 10 minutes for this activity.
