Diversity Badge in a Bag^®
Great for teaching about diversity and tolerance.

Get it while you can! This "Bag" is being discontinued to make room for new "Badge in a Bags". The Brownie Caring & Sharing Try-It is being retired by GSUSA. Make sure to pick up your Try-Its from the council store while they still have availablity.

LESS THAN 30¢ PER PROJECT                     Kit contains supplies for a maximum of 12 scouts to do four activities. Order a "bag of extras" for troops up to 16. Order 2 full bags for troops of 17 or more.

Each girl can make four projects and learn valuable life lessons. Available with a "Bag of Extras" for leaders who like to make samples, have extra supplies on hand or to stretch your kit for four additional girls.

If you are a Brownie leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Caring and Sharing Try-It here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the Try-It book.

Requirement 1 - I Care
Make a pin to SWAP or give away. Includes coiless pin, pony beads and specialty bead or charm (based on availability). Project will take about 10 minutes to complete. You'll need to make your own tags if SWAPping.

Requirement 2 - Favorites
Fill out the worksheet with your favorites such as favorite color, favorite TV show, etc. Compare answers with the other in your troop. Project will take about 30 minutes to complete. You'll need your own pencil.

Requirement 3 - What If?
Give each girl a bear finger puppet. Bears come in three different colors. Teach the girls that it doesn't matter what color they get. Glue on the included wiggle eyes. Use the puppets to act out the situations in your Brownie book. You'll need your glue. Allow about about 30 minutes for this activity.  

Requirement 4 - Differences are OK
Make three faces out of craft foam circles. Kit includes circles in three different skin tones, several colors of yarn for hair and wiggle eyes. You'll need your own scissors and glue. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete.

Note: These faces are great to use when making a troop banner. You can purchase a kit to make your troop banner and add these faces to make it extra special.
